What if orthodontics meets AI?

If you are to choose the main keywords of 4th Industrial Revolution, you can choose AI, IoT, VR, etc.

What is Artificial Intelligence (AI)?

A system in which a computer works by reasoning/learning/judging itself, like human brain processes, such as cognitive judgment, reasoning, problem solving, and learning functions.

When AI was released, there was widespread opinion that it is still in the far end, but now AI is being applied more closely in our daily lives.

What if AI is incorporated into dental data?

WebCeph,
an AI-based dental healthcare data cloud service made by Assembly Circle.

WebCeph is an AI/cloud-based service for the diagnosis of orthodontics and bimaxillary surgery.

Based on AI, it provides a lot of information such as automated metering and simulation, and it can be shared globally through cloud services.

The reality is that despite the great importance and value of information, ordinary dental medical data was not integrated with advanced medical information since they were stored in individual hospitals.

Assembly Circle was founded in 2019 to address this problem and is on its way to the global healthcare platform through WebCeph.

How does WebCeph use AI?

When orthodontic radiography is imported, it extracts the characteristics of the image through an AI prediction system, detects the area of interest and the measurement point, and exports the results.

You can check the appearance after orthodontics and bimaxillary surgery with online simulation if you import side photo of the current patient, not simply checking the radiographic images of the before and after treatment.

You can see the difference with the actual picture to ensure that patients can understand.

Concern No.1 long diagnosis time! The period of orthodontics takes an average of one to two years which can be varied depending on the individual patient's condition. The treatment itself takes a long time, but diagnosis for treatment also takes a long time. On average, it takes about 1 to 2 weeks for a private hospital and about 2 to 4 weeks for a university hospital. This long diagnostic time is stressful for patients who want to be treated because of spending a lot of time before starting tr...

WEBCEPH, why do you need it?

The most important part of orthodontics varies for each individual. But the most important thing is to have accurate analysis and diagnosis during treatment and, consequently have a neat arrangement of teeth to identify changes before and after treatment. Currently, when you visit the dentist for orthodontics,  you start with consultations,  such as how much protrusion in the teeth before treatment,  how long it will take to have your teeth repaired , and so on. It takes a long time for the to take photos of the patient, receive consultation based on medical data, and receive diagnostic results. Since the cost is also a burden, patients would look for a dentist with better conditions when planning for orthodontics. If you're a patient, you would think that it's a good idea to start with a dentist in a good environment and get lots of information out of the way. Dentists using WEBCEPH,  an artificial intelligence-based solution,  can offer more informatio...

WEBCEPH using Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence provides convenience to our lives and can have more effect than expected on behalf of what people can do. Artificial intelligence can make more accurate choices than people through repeated learning, and it is fast to process. In repeated learning,   the expertise of experts is especially important, not ordinary people, to learn artificial intelligence. Currently, advanced artificial intelligence technology has emerged, and it surpasses human cognitive levels, and a new solution called WEBCEPH has been established by using these technologies to apply them to orthodontics. Accurate patient clinical analysis is critical to treating malocclusion. There is a disadvantage that it takes a long time to analyze a patient's skeleton and teeth because it depends on the dentist's knowledge and manual work. WEBCEPH is an artificial intelligence-based orthodontic surgery cloud platform that provides automatic measurement and analysis through artificial intelligen...
